When it is discovered that the 2 kindly old Brewster spinsters are helping lonely old men find eternal peace by serving them elderberry wine with a little extra kick (arsenic), Mortimer, their loving nephew, is thrown into a dilemma of "hysterica"l proportions. To add to the mayhem, the Brewster house is also the playground of uncle Teddy, who thinks he is Teddy Rosevelt, and the unwelcome nephew - Jonathan, whose criminal past has come back to haunt him. Will Mortimer be able to set things right and marry his girlfriend Elaine with a clear conscience and no fear of passing on the wacko Brewster genes....?
